Understanding M-Cap Wig

The M-Cap wig is a type of lace wig designed with a unique construction, eliminating the need for adhesive or glue during installation. This innovative wig revolutionizes traditional construction techniques by introducing a groundbreaking approach that guarantees unparalleled comfort for women, marking a notable advancement within the industry.

The cap construction includes a comfortable air area around the ears and a 9x6 lace that extends from the front hairline to the back of the head area. This larger lace area allows for more versatile styling options and a more natural-looking hairline. The cap itself is designed with a 3D dome cap with c shape ear design, which provides a secure fit while also being comfortable to wear. The wig is further secured by removable combs, offering extra stability. Additionally, the m-cap wig has a grip band on the inside, which helps to keep the wig in place throughout the day.

How to Do a Quick M-Cap Wig Install

The installation process of an M-cap wig doesn't require the use of glue and still ensures a snug fit against your scalp.

1. Prepare your natural hair
Start by making sure your hair is clean, dry, and flattened. If necessary, braid or cornrow your hair to create a smooth base for the wig.

2. Wear a wig cap
When purchasing a CurlyMe wig, we include a high-definition wig cap as a complimentary item.
Wear a wig cap to secure your natural hair and provide a smooth, even surface for the wig. Pull the wig cap over your head, ensuring a snug and comfortable fit that covers all your natural hair. Do not forget to check and tuck any loose strands in your wig cap.

Here is a handy tip to make your wig look more natural: use a blush brush to dab on some makeup powder that matches your skin tone onto the surface of the wig cap. This will help make the lace of your wig more invisible, resulting in a more natural appearance when worn.

3. Adjust the anti-slip band
The m-cap features an anti-slip elastic band inside allowing you to make it tighter or looser as needed for a snug securement. Adjust the tension by hooking the piano keys to ensure a proper fit between the wig and your head.

4. Fold the Lace Edge
Before wearing your wig, fold the lace edge in the opposite direction and secure it to maintain a smooth and natural hairline. This ensures that the lace remains flat and avoids any unattractive folding or bunching, resulting in a seamless and lifelike appearance.

5. Put on and secure the wig
Position the wig onto your head, aligning the front edge with your natural hairline. Then, tilt your head slightly forward and adjust the elastic band at the back of the wig to ensure a snug fit. Begin by securing the elastic band first for stability. Next, smoothly slide the wig backward onto your head, ensuring it is securely in place. Once positioned, use the combs provided with the wig to further secure it. Insert the combs into your natural hair, ensuring they are firmly attached. Additional combs may be located at the front, sides, and back of the wig for extra security.

6. Style as desired
With the wig secured, style it as desired. You can use heat tools, such as curling irons or flat irons, to create different looks or enhance the existing curls. Be sure to use heat-protectant products to minimize damage to the hair.

7. Blend with your natural hair
To make the wig blend seamlessly with your natural hair, you can use styling techniques like adding leave-in conditioner or edge control to your edges or baby hair.
